Why Is Learning The Korean Language Important?

Hey KoMa!

I know those who are reading this blog have a lot of interest in learning the Korean language and culture.

These days, because of K-dramas and K-pop songs, Korean culture is spreading and gaining attention worldwide.
Lots of people are falling in love with watching K-dramas and listening to K-pop songs. And among them, some people dream of being a future K-pop star or actor/actress.

Besides, because the world is getting closer and closer, interracial/international couples are getting increased. This means the possibility of dating a Korean and getting married to a Korean is increasing these days. Further, since there are lots of Korean conglomerates such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai, etc., people want to have professional careers in Korea.

Of course, there are many other reasons why you are interested in Korea and want to learn the Korean language. ANYWAY, THE IMPORTANT THING is if you want to make your dreams or future plans come true in Korea, YOU SHOULD KNOW THE KOREAN LANGUAGE.

Korea has a long history and its own language.
Therefore, Korea has a really strong local culture.

Have you ever watched a Korean competition or audition program for selecting a future K-pop idol? There are some participants who are not Korean. However, all the auditions and competitions are progressing in Korean. Korean judges or mentors talk only in Korean even though the participants are foreigners. This means that if you are dreaming of being a K-pop star or actor/actress, you must know and speak Korean.

Working in Korean companies is also the same. Of course, there are lots of Korean people who are fluent in English. HOWEVER, most of the people in the company are Korean. And their daily life language is Korean. People are talking and communicating in Korean. They can talk about some important tasks in English to respect you and talk with you. However, mingling with people often and deeply would be difficult if you don’t know the Korean language. Think about your country especially if it is not English spoken country. You will understand well what I mean.

And of course, you who are in a relationship with Korean will know how much the Korean language is important for your relationship. Knowing the Korean language means you are respecting your partner and deeply understanding your partner’s culture and thoughts, emotions, and so on. It’s also for your Korean family and your future kids by extension.

I truly appreciate that you have an interest in Korea and learning the Korean language as a hobby or in a serious way because as a person who studied and lived in several different countries, and as an international married couple, I know how much learning foreign languages is difficult and requires lots of efforts.

However, if you have a specific dream or reason why you need to learn the Korean language, I want you to be a bit more serious about learning. Because, in Korea, if you know the Korean language, your dreams will come true much easier or faster. On the other hand, if you don’t know Korean, then it would be really difficult to make your dream come true (even though it sounds cruel, it’s true…😬)

I sincerely want to help you improve your Korean skills. That’s why I studied to be a certified Korean teacher to help you, and I made this platform so that I can help you all who have a passion for learning the Korean language but don’t know where to start. I will let you know step-by-step, and all you need to do is follow the steps.

I am always rooting for your Korean study, and let’s make it happen together!🤗
